I don't like chainsaws either Chuck... and have taken down reasonable trees with hand saws ... but like you gotten in mate with chainsaw to do the stuff beyond me - heard too many stories of them bouncing back and taken the unwary by surprise... hope 2007 brings less dramas from mother nature - Jerome

Came back while we were out this morning, about 10:30. So about 60 hours out, more or less. There are still some poor souls out here who don't have any. Happy to have ours back. Jeez, being without power sucks.

I'm seriously considering a Lister myself. I have a room in the basement where I could install it, and run both the exhaust and a fuel filler out the side of the house. I already have the fuel source worked out.

Hope your power comes back soon Roger!

Glad it didn't hit anything. We're still without power...been since 8:30 on Thursday, so that's almost 48 hours? I'm hopeful it will be back on by tonight, but what can you do?

Where is my listeroid diesel with a 15KW genset? Of course, that would weigh about as much as an E-Type, so it will have to wait until we're in the new place.
