This was taken on the “New England 2000” vintage car rally. Since my earlier guessing game was too easy (Roger got it on the first guess) maybe this one will tax him.
Name all the cars. No bonus points for the truck. 😉

like I could name the damn truck anyway!!
that closest car rings some bells… but I can’t put my finger on it… British?? is about as far as I can go for now! 🙂
and I have bad eyes so give us a break about the front one!
Jerome
It is English, yes.
The one in the distance is NOT English.

early Aston? but looks too wide perhaps…
Jerome
Not an Aston, sorry.
Speaking of Aston-Martin, have a look at this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6362049015503098435

I thought the green car might be an Aceca, but the detailing is all wrong. It’s not a 2/4 Aston, obviously, nor a Harrington Alpine, nor even something as oddball as a Peerless GT. I’m drawing a complete blank but will undoubtedly be embarrassed for not getting it here. It’s not a TVR or Ginetta, nor anything from MG or Triumph or Jaguar.
You started down the right track Roger, then veered off into the weeds. Try again.
The car in the IMMEDIATE foreground by the way, is an E-type Jaguar. 😉

would have never guessed the E-type… 🙂
how about a Bristol of some sort then?
Jerome
Not a Bristol (I’m saving one of those for a future guessing game!) but it does have a Bristol engine.

A bit late but I think it is, indeed, an AC Aceca, powered by the little Bristol six-banger.
Close Wiggy, but no cigar. Think bigger.

It’s not a Greyhound, is it? Looks a bit short.
I guess it is, isn’t it. I dismissed it as unlikely due to a perceived short wheelbase. Ah, well. The distant car has the unsavory profile of something Teutonic, but I’m probably wrong about that, too. 😉
Yes sir! It IS an AC Greyhound. Viewed from almost directly behind, the perceived wheelbase gets compressed.
The car in the distance in a 300sl roadster.
