Feel free to guess at the car. To be honest I don’t care nor do I recall, as I just like the photo!

Sure looks like the hood scoop from a ’58 Ferrari 25 California.

Let’s see: Ferrari Red color, short opening on a long bonnet, pontoons leading to the headlights, flat bonnet with a tall scoop. And that chrome scoop tip is really distinctive. I’m betting that’s one of the 50 long wheelbase Ferrari 250 GT Spyder Californias! A beautiful and rare car!
Have to agree with Corvairdad and Sfoskett -it’s probably a Ferrari. The chrome edging is key. Otherwise an Alfa Romeo 2600 would have to be considered too…

I’m pretty sure it is a Ferrari 250, Cal Spyder.
Gotta be the long wheelbase to have those proportions. The SWB Cal Spyders look different.
So, Chuck…ya ever gonna ‘stump the chumps’ with the hood scoop I sent ya? Bet that’ll keep’em busy!
🙂
yes Paul… Geeze, I’m building up to it! 😉
So, Wiggy, are you fitting a bonnet scoop on Tweetie…?
No hurries, or worries, Chuck!
Or, as they say in Oz, “No wukka!”
As for hood scoops on Tweetles, MD? Even *I* have some standards of decency!
Though, I did put rearward facing ones on my 2000 TC Rover, and it helped with vapor lock!
