Car Photo(s) of the Day: Fresh from the memory card!

Name this car

I took the new camera out to the Saturday Night Cruise-In down the hill in Arlington tonight. The light was pretty dim, as it was right around sunset. My time window for shooting was very narrow, but I grabbed a few for you. Go ahead and guess the cars!

Still getting used to the new rig, so be patient with me.

  1. The photos with the new camera are great, Chuck. The top one is eluding me right now, but I recognize what I think is a ’55 Packard hood ornament and of course the Bugeye Sprite.

  2. My first response to the top picture was a ’51 Ford, but upon further reflection, I think it may be a Packard of some description.

The bug-eye Sprite is a gimmee.

The “unique engine bay detailing”: is that on a Jeep, by any chance?

  3. No, it is NOT a Jeep. Honestly I don’t expect anyone to actually guess the car based on the detailing as it has virtually no relation to the rest of the car.

    No Packards were present either.

  4. That does look like a ’51 Ford Victoria taillight. That sure looks like a ’55 Packard hood ornament, but the hood doesn’t match. Hmmm.
