Excellent stumper, CG! All I can think of is a late 50s/early 60s ‘Vette, right rear fender area.
I was thinking vette too, but I don’t think the curve is quite right. It seems elongated towards the rear. Definitely a convertible. Something European. That is a classic Ferrari red…
It is a Corvette. A 1960 one in fact. Nice try blueben, but you should have gone with your first instinct. My little hometown show doesn’t bring out much in the way of classic European sports cars! The sum total this year was: 1 Porsche speedster, a 80s Ferrari Testarossa, a Sunbeam Alpine, and MG Midget, a Karman-Ghia, and my old Jaguar. There was an Ariel Atom, which is sort of British, but made in Oregon with a GM engine.
