I meant to post this on Friday as the “weekend stumper” but things got in the way and I never got it posted in time. I’m editing the images from this past weekend’s Tulip Rallye and hope to have those posted soon. Meanwhile I’ll leave you to ponder the identity of the car pictured above.

As a WAG… Subaru 360?
For a WAG it is at least in the ballpark, but not on target. It is NOT a Subaru.
But it is a 360… 😀 Nicely done – hadn’t seen one of those before.
Oh my god! You finally posted a classic Mazda! Yes, folks, it’s an R360 coupe. I guessed it from the color alone, but those headlights are amazingly distinctive. This was Mazda’s first “real car” (you know, the kind with four wheels, designed for people, etc) and had an awesome 356 cc V-twin engine. The later Carol had a 4-cylinder inline engine that was only 2 cc larger – amazingly small at 358 cc!
Thanks, Chuck!
Yes. ZachZ & SFoskett can share the prize. Here are some more pics:
Good job guys!
Well, I’ll be! I had not a *single* clue, and I’ll admit, I never have seen such a Mazda, before! I bet those tail light lenses are made of the same unobtainium as are the ones on my 1000 SP.
I always wondered why they chose a Greek name for a Japanese car….
Just saw this on FB. I didn’t have a clue and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these before. Fab little car though…
Facebook’s blog connector is always lagging way behind real-time. You should use an RSS feed to track my posts here John!
See you tonight!
MD, your admission made me feel *much* better, since you usually get the *really* whacko ones, here!
