This looks to be a 1956 Talbot lago sport 2500 (Sometimes called a Talbot-Maseratti LeMans spyder). THere is a good possibility that it m raced at the 1956 24 heures de LeMans. Sadly though it suffered the same fate as it did in this picture. If the car has it’s proper provenance it would have an engine from Maseratti. I have no idea who did the coachwork.
Actually I have no idea. I’m inclined to think it’s some species of OSCA (mid-50’s vintage) but this is a shot in the dark. It’s very pretty, though.
I’m also tempted to say that Pontiac took some cues from it when designing the Solstice…

Well I wasn’t that far off -there is at least some Maserati in an OSCA.
