It has been a while since I posted a car photo that fell into the ‘weird’ realm. So… here you go.
I have to ponder the value of downforce vs drag whenever I see these sorts of things though. Not even considering the location of the downforce relative to the drive wheels. I wonder what Jim Hall thinks when he sees one of these drive by?
I, too, am always astonished when I see FWD cars with big honkin’ wings on them, invariably driven by a young person. Never mind they’re f’ing up their mileage, and to answer your question, I bet ol’ Jim just shakes his head, as we do.
Form is EVERYTHING to this subculture; function simply doesn’t enter into the equation.

the spoiler on the back of my V8 on the other hand is obviously practical given its a rear wheel drive car!… yes thats right it tells me where the end of the car when backing! 🙂
