  1. I’m soooo stoked at this! In ways, I think the Alfa might surpass the E-Type in sheer looks: Only 40 years on will we know but, JEEEEzuz! That’s a gorgeous car!

Now, if ONLY one could get it w/ a TDI diesel, eh?

  2. and as far as price- the reported MSRP is roughly $300K with premiums of the same amount being paid for the first cars.

  3. one other thing (sorry for the multi- post), but the only thing that’s a semi-letdown about this beauty is that it only comes with a semi-manual ‘box with flappy paddles. Were it available in a manual, it would truly deserve a place in the Pantheon of great cars IMO.

  4. Love it! Quite the testicoli de cane. I wonder if the cup holders are any good…?

More seriously does anyone know when Alfas accessible to the common person are coming back to the US? Seems like I’ve been hearing “Alfa Romeo set to return to America” since about 2001. That MiTo hatchback looks very nice. A turbo diesel version would be even nicer.

  5. Hrm. Just staring at that foto, and thought….what if the E-Type had been able to evolve, progress…

Doesn’t take a vivid imagination to think this would be the E of the 21st century!
