Car Photo of the Day
Can you name all the cars in the photo?

OK, one at a time:
In front -Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider -one of all time favourites
Green car at back: Daimler Dart
White car: Austin Healey 100/4
Orange car: XK120 (I think; but I can’t see the radiator grille and the wheels look wrong)
Nope..last car is an XK 140: Big bumpers. You beat me to the rest, you “dog!”
LOL!
Oh well, close enough for government work, I suppose. These days I’m delighted if my brain cells work at all…!
Brains cells?
[blahblahblahblahFUDblahblahblahRUNblahblahblah..for the Gary Larson fans here….]
Wot’er those, MD? I’m an old mechanic PLUS a geologist.
Brain cells…hrrm….quite a concept, that.
😉
I think my aging brain is like the electrical system in a British car: connections come loose and function is erratic.
Having said that the worst automotive electrics I have ever encountered were in a Porsche 911SC which I owned, unfortunately, for a year during which time it tried to both bankrupt and kill me!
Hehehe….

Like my *fave* gearhead t-shirt: Shows a heart patient, about to go under the knife. He’s sitting bolt upright, with a panicked look in his eyes, and sez to the gloved-up doctors..
“Whattya mean, the pacemaker is a LUCAS?”
🙂
John pretty much nailed it (though Paul fixed the XK error) on the first go. I THOUGHT the Daimler “angry mutant catfish” would be the ringer, but I guess I’m wrong. It is so ugly as to be unforgettable! 😉
John, we still up for a beer tomorrow night? How about Elysian or Pyramid?
(You should check back on the MC-PR post from earlier in the month, as Philippe had a question for you concerning Reims & times. If you need his email address I’ll bring it along Tuesday night.)
