Car Photo of the Day: Speaking of FHC’s at the Monte Shelton…

Here is a gorgeous (IIRC) OSB 66 FHC XKE (is that enough acronyms for you?) at last year’s Monte Shelton Rally. I can’t recall their names, but I do remember them being fun guys, and their license plate frame having a programmable LED screen with funny notes on it. Always nice to rally with people who don’t take themselves too seriously!

I noted that one of our trees had little buds on it… perhaps Spring is coming sooner this year? I can’t wait!

  1. Chuck,
Wanted to let you know that I keep checking and enjoying your site! The blue FHC is my 1968 series 1.5, and is being driven by our son Jim Cameron with his friend and navigator Brian Lorenson. Seeing their picture motivated me to step up and log on.

You’ll remember my car, the black 300SL roadster, that I’m sure you and your dad helped to vote “peoples choice” last year. I still use your picture of it from the year before as my start up screen. (Gullwing at twilight)

Our whole family intends to be there again this year, and we hope to see you and your dad there as well!

    Keeping the greasy side down,
    Ralph

  2. Thanks Ralph!

YES. I will be there, and so will my dad (who is selling his 300sl over my loud protests BTW!)… rumor has it John Morrow will be there too with his daughter in their FHC too.

    Can’t wait!
