Car Photo Of The Day: Name That Car.

Filed under: Car Photo Of The Day, Cars — chuck goolsbee @ 9:37 am

OK, so I think I have one that will stump you guys … for a while at least. Of course I’ve thought that before and you car nerds have blown me out of the water. Here is a small taste of this car. If you need hints I have some larger views and written hints I can add later.

Guess away!

    Anyone? Bueller?

    Do you need a hint?

  2. That`s a hard one. If that is the start of a tailfin in the picture, it is obviously
from the late fifthies or early sixities. I don`t think it is an american car. If I
had to guess, I would think East- european, like DKW. They were heavily influenced
by american iron, but couldn`t quite pull it off. But then again, if it were a DKW, I
am sure Paul would have guessed it by now.
I think we need another clue.

  3. Actually Ove, you are well off the mark. Hints #1, 2, & 3 : it is a 2-seat roadster, designed by Pininfarina, with some Le Mans pedigree (several 1st place-in-class victories).

  4. Ok, that made me remember where I had seen this before. It`s a Nash Healey

  5. D’oh! You guys are too good. I had a string of good hints queued up, with mentions of odd things Italian, British and Wisconsin. ;)

Yes, it is a Nash Healey

  6. Sorry…by the time I’d seen it, it’d been ID’d; the giveaway is that weird vent on the rear fender!
