Another race car from the Indy 500 display at Amelia Island Concours a few years back. Know what it might be?
(should be easy as there’s a couple of badges and labels here.
)
Working on the deck today… expect an update about the car show and a reveal of the other British car soon. Keep on guessing in the “going against the grain” post though!
Thats a wicked looking machine gun for taking out the race leaders or various barriers in the “Death Race”>

That has to be a Maserati of some kind. I had a model of one of these in elementary school and it used to win all our impromptu car races in the playground. It was stolen by a little bugger by the name of Gilbert Butler: I hope karma has caught up with him by now…!

Not a machine gun, but I’m pretty sure it is a crank-starter.
Yes, it is a Maser.

Ah, the days when tires were skinny and drivers were *fat*….:) Indeed, it is a crank starter. Also, note the oil “cooler” in front of the radiamatater….;)

That looks like the Maserati 4CLT that won at Indy in 1939 and again in 1940, driven by Wilbur Shaw.
