The subject of this photo is the big Healey in the foreground, but to add a layer of difficulty to the carspotting you have to name all of them. I count NINE vintage cars in this shot. I can ID 8 of them, and when I dig up the route book from this event I’ll have the last one, which IIRC never made it past the start of this rally. It arrived in a truck, and never went anywhere under its own power. Bonus points are available to the spotter who correctly identifies that machine in the group. (HINT: It wasn’t one of the Jaguars. 😉 )
Good luck!
Counterclockwise: AH 100/4 Sebring (I’m lusting after it but apparently they are awful to drive), Sunbeam Tiger, Mk II Jag, blueish-silver thing in background (no clue: after that bloody Delahaye I’m not even going to try), Cobra, AH3000, red E type (V12?), omnipresent 65E, MGB. I seem to remember from one of your reports that the MG was trailered off…
Wrong on the MG (both the ID and it’s fate), wrong on the AH3000 as well.
Huh? Is the green “AH” an XK?
Is the “MGB” a Giulietta? I can’t tell. It’s way past my bedtime.
Green car an AC Ace?
The Big Healey is a ’56 BN2… then Sunbeam Tiger, Jaguar Mk2, (the blue car remains unknown), a 289 Cobra, The green car is a XK 150, Series 3 E-type, the 65E, The tail light is an Alfa Gulietta.
The Cobra and the Blue Mystery Car never made it out of Red Lodge. IIRC the Tiger died the first day.
