I’ll tell the story behind the photo later, but I’m really looking forward to what you guys have to say about it first. 😉

Jerome
“DAVE! Quick! *Which* one is the brake pedal???”
“Look, Bob! There’s a Carl’s Jr, at the end of the slalom!”
“Peter figured that mid-corner was as good a time as any to inform Valery that MGB’s did indeed come equipped with Lucas electrics…”
I vote for Lucas electrics!!! 🙂
Jerome – who has moved on from the British cars of my youth to their bastard cousins … the Aussie tanks!
Good job guys.
This photo was taken at a Canadian XK Register JCNA sanctioned slalom in Surrey BC. The Canadian XK Register has teamed up with the MG Car Club up there to make one club, and they are a pretty fun-loving bunch. I actually prefer attending their events over those of the Seattle Jaguar Club (for a host of reasons, but primarily because they do a great job on keeping the emphasis on fun.)
This shot was one I didn’t realize I captured so well until reviewing my photos later. While my eye was on the viewfinder I was too busy tracking the car and trying to keep it in frame while the auto-drive mechanism of my camera snapped away. Only later did I see the wild expression on the kid’s face. Priceless! This shot is taken at the very end of the standard JCNA Slalom course, at the apex of the final turn before one enters the braking box. I suspect that the driver realized at the last second that he wasn’t supposed to continue on the curve, but go straight and brake.
I also seem to recall that this driver is in his late teens and this MG B is one that he restored.
