I’ve seen cars lowered. I’ve seen cars widened.
This is the first one I’ve ever seen condensed.
Anyone know what it is? Or was?

I’m guessing you’re seeing a sad old English Ford (Anglia?) or similar at its natural width, though it is suffering from a forced union with someone crude and American. I guess I should be mildly thankful it’s not a “rat rod” but still, after you’ve seen the 20th one of these, they hardly seem like a “unique” or “personalized” “custom”. Heck, you’d be making more of a statement driving an unadulterated original, though, of course, you also wouldn’t be on the interstate.
I meant “something,” though “someone” may be equally apt!
yup – natural width indeed… one of those old classic ‘small’ English Fords I grew up around… 50’s Anglia is correct I think… Prefect was a similar thing with lights faired into the guards. Later 60’s Anglia was very different looking car with an unusual reverse sloping rear window – a couple of those still running round locally here.

That is a Ford Anglia. Introduced in 1939-40 and from 45-53, when it had become hopelessly outdated. I doubt this one still retains its original 1200 cc engine.
