Car Photo of the Day: Whisky. Tango. Foxtrot.

Filed under: Car Photo Of The Day,Cars,Weird Seen — chuck goolsbee @ 11:04 am

I’m doing a little lunchtime update of my GTTSR pages and noted this photo in my collection from last week. I remember doing a cartoon character extreme double-take when I saw this car. Can you spot the oddity in this photo (and if you can’t, you’re blind!)

  1. V8 in the wrong end of a car? … that probably should only have flat 6’s? (it sort of looks like a Porsche but I’m not expert on those)

  3. NO, DON’T CUT THE RED ONE!!!

Ah the Porschev- when a perfectly good I6 w/ a low center of gravity just won’t do.

  6. Sacrilege, yes, though I don’t mind the V8 as much as I mind the carb.

  7. Given the weight of the original boxer 6 and how the steering in those cars worked – or didn’t work – imagine all that V8 weight hanging out over the back end and how it must “guide” the front end when the piloto is trying to point the car in a chosen direction…
