Car Photo of the Day: Autumn run.

Here’s a nice shot. IIRC this was the very first time I actually opened the door and stuck the camera out the bottom for a shot. It was taken on the Mille Autunno rally about this time four years ago. In fact I’m pretty sure it was exactly 4 years ago today.

We were driving around the Sierra Nevadas with a group of old cars. I’m pretty sure this was taken as we rounded the west shore of Lake Tahoe.

  1. I was too chicken to do that with my Nikon. I need to get a cheap point and shoot with a wide angle for those adventurous shots, won’t cry as much if I lose it (and much easier to hold at weird angles)

  2. Thanks. After shooting with your camera I’m seriously considering a new rig though. (stay tuned for a post on that subject!) I’ll likely keep the old Olympus for shots like this though. 😉

  3. Nifty shot. I’d like to be able to mount a camera to various parts of my car just so I could take some shots like that. I also want an HD video camera to get some on-road videos. The road out to the in-law’s house is a pretty sweet drive.
