No guessing games to play, I just like the photo. 😉
Another form of “Sunday worship” I guess.
Enjoy!

I got a fuel injected engine sittin’ under my hood…
Easy guess what this is.
I could not pass up the opportunity to grab this photo. The subject is the 2006 KZOK Classic Car Calendar, being held up by the Calendar’s Art Director, Dave Webber, open to the page showing the car parked in front of him. Feel free to take a guess at the car make and model, I have no idea what it is (but can look at my copy of the calendar later to verify your guesses.)
The honor of being picked for the calendar was very nice, and the photo shoot was fun. I had participated in shoots before as an Art Director myself, but it was fun to be merely a spectator (and a bit of a stylist. 😉 )
In December of ’05 they had an official release of the Calendar at a Car Toys store in Issaquah, and several of us who owned cars chosen decided to show up. The weather was perfect, so I had to go. All the guys from the Bob Rivers Show signed a copy of the calendar for me and I grabbed a few extras to give away.
I kept my calendar open to “June” all year that year. 😉
Many years ago, in a Bothell location far, far away, the df-tech geeks went out to the dumpster to “retire” some old gear. Damian recorded the event for posterity and it has even had a few moments of net-fame here and there.
Boy, it was fun.
(Thanks Damian for the link!)
I rummaged around in the garage today, and found some hose of the right inside diameter. I cut off a chunk about 5cm long, forced a machine screw into it. It fit like a charm. The guys on a Diesel list I’m on suggested the screw… directly into the injector. I decided to take a more moderate and reversible approach.
Seems to be working fine. I can grab the right part anytime now.
…I have to agree with most of what he says here.
The current administration is made up of liars and people incapable of doing right, the war is a disaster, Iraq’s future is destined to be far worse than its past, and we, the USA, and specifically the Bush administration has squandered the opportunity of all time.
I guess even blow-hard New Yorkers are occasionally correct.
Bush supporters keep chanting “cut and run” in answer to his suggestion. But really… other than “stay and watch our soldiers get killed” WHAT THE HELL IS THE STRATEGY? Seriously. Has anyone in the Bush administration EVER laid out for us what their strategy actually is? What is the PURPOSE of this conflict? What is the exit strategy? Can they finish ANY job they start? Remember Bin Laden? Afghanistan? Hello?
Ugh.
